WILTSHIRE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY REVIEWS 

Wow; we are just so happy with our choice in photographer! We'd found David's website through Googling Wiltshire photographers and had a look at his website. We loved the photos, especially how relaxed and happy everyone looked. His website provided all the information we required (especially the FAQs page), and we decided to go ahead and book him. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding! It turns out he was actually listed as a recommended photographer for our venue, Grittleton House, and we quickly learnt why.

David is both professional and personable. During our pre-shoot we learnt of the different ways we should be posing to get the best photos, and, most importantly for me, how to feel relaxed in front of the camera.

When it came to the wedding day, we knew that David had it all in hand and the results were incredible! The weather wasn't exactly wonderful (our fault for getting married in January), but David was able to create some amazing indoor shots, and get lots of photos around our amended schedule. We've looked at our photos so many times now, and we still absolutely adore them. The mixture of formal and 'snapshot' photos really show how the day shaped out and also how much fun the guests were having. We had so many people say how much they liked David and his photos!

We don't think 5 stars are enough to show how much we loved David's work. Thank you so much!

David is the best photographer - don't look any further. 

I had high expectations for our wedding photos, knowing the legacy images have when remembering the special day, and David completely exceeded. He is such a personable person, all our guests have commented how lovely and progressional he was. He won't shout at guests, he won't dictate your day (unless you want, I'm sure), he will naturally become part of your day. 

The pre-shoot was full of fun and laughter and the day was even better. We have the most beautiful natural images, capturing the raw emotion of the day. Our portrait pics are just a dream too. 

We genuinely miss spending time with him, ha! Thank you for everything David.

Alex and I got married in September 2017. I knew the moment I met David that we had found our photographer... I think I knew he's was 'the one' even from our initial discussions over email. I needed my photographer to not only capture our day in an informal and relaxed way, but also be someone who I genuinely liked, as he was going to be sharing some very precious moments with us. David is everything you need in a wedding photographer. I could not recommend him highly enough, to do him or his work justice.

I may have left this 6 months late but life has just carried us away! 

David saved our day!!  3 weeks before our wedding in June our original photographer pulled out, apparently ‘double booking’ our date! I’m sure you can imagine my reaction and the sheer panic we felt!!  Many people suggested David in a Facebook post, so I rang him in my crazy bride state and to our delight & surprise he was actually free for our big day!  At our pre-shoot he made it easy and we felt so natural. He also gave us tips for the day, all of which we forgot due to so much excitement but for the shoot very helpful! He captured us in our natural cheery self and we were absolutely chuffed he was going to be with us on our big day!  The photos he shot on the big day were incredible, he caught the natural unaware shots, the group/individual photos we’d requested, we then found those incredibly wild & funny pictures of some of our guests!  

He blended in, he was apart of our guests and we honestly couldn’t recommend a better photographer or person to be by your side!

• If you are looking for a photographer who will capture your day beautifully, David is the man. We got married in August 2017 and David provided us with a pre-shoot a few days before the big day which enabled us to get used to being infront of the camera and the way he worked. Throughout the big day guests complimented him constantly and he made everyone feel at ease with his relaxed and likeable personality. • David was fantastic every step of the way. He's incredibly likeable and quickly made us feel comfortable, from the initial call to the day itself. I have to admit the only reason I was wanted to commit to a professional photographer was to capture moments and people that shared our day with us. I'm not a big fan of being in front of the camera so I was pleasantly surprised to see David got so many lovely photos of Chris and I, and looking back at them now I didn't even realise he was standing there half the time with intrusion to the day at all. I really appreciated how he worked around the day and waited to the right moments to take certain photos while planning other timings carefully so it all flowed naturally.  I really felt he was able to capture us and our relationship and he's clearly skilled at adapting his style to fit the unique couple and their wedding in that way. That being said I think he'll always add a little bit of his own style and fun in to the day with the benefit of some really special extra moments and photos in the collection that bring an extra element and a lovely surprise.

• David did a really fantastic job at our wedding in July 2017. We got married in a field in Pewsey and had marquees and wagons plus a ceremony space. He made our guest feel at ease and caught so many candid moments throughout the day. He has captured our day beautifully; beautiful photos of us, our families and friends.... plus some hilarious photos throughout the day thanks to the addition of the table photo challenge! :) Perfect memories. From the moment that we first made contact with David, we knew that we were in good hands. As we had a baby in the mix, meeting in person to discuss details was not easy but David was able to work around our needs and we mostly discussed what we needed over Skype and email, with just one meeting in person for a practice photoshoot. Given that we had not done this before, David was able to take us through all the options that we had for photography on the day.

On the day itself, we barely noticed David, apart from when he very ably wrangled guests for the formal shots. The rest of the time he was non intrusively snapping the events of the day in his reportage style that drew us to him in the first place.

Even after the wedding, David kept us up to date with the progress of his post processing of the photos and he delivered us almost 900 excellent photos which we absolutely love!

If you're looking for a wedding photographer in the Salisbury area, particularly for a wedding where children feature heavily we couldn't recommend David more - Thank you!

Where do I start? My (now) husband and I were trying to plan our wedding from the other side of the world - what a nightmare. From the very first email to the final hug of our wedding night David has been the most professional photographer. He totally got us and we haven't laughed so much at our pre-wedding shoot in ages.

David was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We met with a number of photographers who offered a package at a similar price but David really went the extra mile. The pre-wedding shoot was perfect for us as we are not comfortable in front of a camera, so this helped get rid of any nerves. David was so well organised on the day and the end results were absolutely fabulous. Many guests at our wedding went out of their way to tell us how great they thought he was. Like most people, we had a tight budget for our wedding. We searched for weeks for a photographer we both liked and when we found david we were a bit worried about price. We loved his work so much and it Was on a different level to all of the other photographers in the area so we decided to proceed. We have not rregretted making that decision one bit and are very glad we decided to invest the money into our memories for the future. 

Fron the start David was very helpful. He stayed in contact throughout the year, making us feel at ease. He is very professional but at the same time it feels like david becomes a friend. His passion for producing the perfect photos shines through in all of his work abd he is dedicated to making sure that all of your favourite memories are captured in his work.

The pre-shoot photos were amazing and it was a great opportunity to get confortable infront of the canera and get to know how david produces such amazing photos. Even with rain on our pre-shoot day we have many amazing photos to keep.

We got married on 28th may this year. As imaginable, it was quite stressful in the lead up to the big day but david stayed so calm it helped me to relax. When the big day arrived, our timings did not go to plan for bridal prep and david was left waiting outside of our b&b. I worried so much about it but david was happy to wait and even managed to get some great shots of our wedding car, my brother and my dog bridesmaid. For the rest of the day i barely saw david. He slots into the background to get some great natural shots. He managed to get all of the photos we had requested and more!! We had great fun doing the photo challenges!! 

When the sun began to set, my husband and I went to have some photos done on our own. Again you didnt really know that david was there snapping away in yhe background. It was a lovely opportunity to just be husband and wife and to chat away too. 

Even after the wedding david was quick to send us some snaps from the day. A little taster of the amazing work he produces! It had everybody checking daily for more. 

Overall the service that david offers is outstanding. The passion he has for photography is clear in all of the amazing images he creates! When we think back to how we were worried about the price, we realise how silly we were being. Memories fade but for us, our memories have been captured in our photos. They are the only evidence of our special day and david was worth every penny. Our photos have had so many conpliments and so has david. David is a great photographer. We had a prep wedding photo shoot which was well worth it to get used to being photographed and to understand what looks good in a photo. David is great at organising people in photos which made group shots easier. We have got amazing photos from our wedding and we are really glad we choose him to capture our day.

David did our wedding at Trafalgar Park on the 26th September. It goes without saying that David was magnificent. From the organisation to the pre-shoot, to the day itself, the quality of the work and the fun involved were boundless. Our expectations were simply blown away. Having your photos taken can be a strain (sometimes), but Dave made it fun, enjoyable and special. He was also great with the kids, even giving them tips on how to take better photos. I was lucky enough to have David and his fantastic Wife photograph my wedding in July 2014. From the second I met him I knew this was a good decision, David is a very professional, talented, focused and considerate photographer, all of which are important because your photographer spends a lot of time with you on the day and you want to be able to relax completely with the biggest smile on your face and know the pictures will be stunning. That's what I did, and David delivered and delivered. We had great fun with him on the day and some of the pictures I saw afterwards made me laugh out loud, they were brilliant, capturing all the best bits of the day and all the fun we had. Nothing was too much trouble before or afterwards. David Scammell Photography is a first class business through and through and I would not hesitate to recommend.
