Lorraine and Nick - Rose and Crown in Salisbury

Rose and Crown, Salisbury, Wiltshire Wedding Photography

When i met Lorraine and Nick at the start of the year, i knew their wedding would be just great, so relaxed and down to earth we hit it off straight away. Although planning a wedding in November can be a bit touch and go on the weather side, but we ended up with a perfect day!!

I met Lorraine and her lovely Bridesmaids in the bridal suit at the Rose and Crown on the morning of 7th Nov, and as expected everything was just nice and calm with an air of excitement. It was initially raining quite hard but i had been checking the weather forecast a week out and i knew in the afternoon it would be clear and the sun should shine (thats what the forecast said!!!)...

The ceremony was really lovely and i managed to get my fave shot of the first look, Nick was just in awe and Lorraine simply radiant as she was escorted down the isle with a very proud dad!!! We had 2 very special readings and during the signing of the register we were entertained by some live saxophone music playing our song by Elton John.

As soon as the ceremony had finished, the rain stopped just as forecasted. Lorraine had thought of all the little touches and hired a magician to entertain the children (and some adults!!!). While this was going on we got some great group shots overlooking the river and Salisbury Cathedral. We even managed to get a gorgeous shot of all the children (small miracle!!) and of course some great action shots of the Fleet girls jumping!!!

In the evening i managed to have a little play with my new light, the Lowel GL1 and i must say it gives some fantastic results and not as harsh as pure flash.

I hope you enjoy this little selection and please click on the main picture arrow to see a few more :)

Lots of these images were taken using the Lowel Gl 1 light, i really love the way it highlights just the subject and black and white just suits it nicely!!!
