Westminster Cathedral Wedding Photography
Written By David Scammell
Now this was a wedding I have been looking forward to for quite some time!!!!
Siobhan and Amaury saw me in action at Sam and Rob’s wedding at the Holburne Museum in Bath and wanted me to be their wedding photographer, so when they said it would be a wedding at Westminster Cathedral I just couldn’t wait!!!!! What a truly amazing building, i’ve never been in such a huge and beautiful building for a wedding.
So on the day I met the girls getting ready at St Ermins Hotel as this was where the wedding reception would be and what a place this was too!!!
A quick walk to the ceremony and as I approached the Cathedral I was greeted with the sound of bagpipes and a piper stood by the entrance. Now this wedding was also unique as it was a French and Scottish mix with lots of tartan and kilts on display. The light was just lovely too with little pockets of sun light streaming from the window, so anyone caught in this light was definitely having their picture taken!
The ceremony zoomed by and we had such a great walk back down the massive aisle with the best music ever being played on the organ!
A big group shot on the steps and then everyone jumped onto 2 double decker buses and I went with Siobhan and Amaury for a quick drive around London in their open topped Bentley (Another first for me!!!)
Back at the hotel, we didn’t get much time as it was straight in for some groups and then straight in for speeches and the meal.
The day passed by so quickly and the images below show just a small glimpse into this beautiful day
