The Gathering Barn Wedding Photography with Anna and Nick

Gathering Barn wedding photography

Two people in total love with each other who wanted a party! Thats the story of this totally gorgeous wedding day at the Gathering Barn in Wiltshire. An absolute privilege to have been chosen as Anna and Nick’s photographer and so happy to have been there to tell this beautiful story in pictures.

Firstly the venue, the Gathering Barn has everything you need and all within easy walking distance, cool barn, chill out areas, bar, accommodation (Huge bath!!!) Quirky, and just so cool without being overly pretentious and it allows couples to make the day theirs.

The thoughtful homemade touches that adorned the banquet hall (I made that term up) - were just so special that although I usually concentrate on the people for a wedding blog post, on this occasion I wanted to start off with showing how all of the hard work paid off!

  • Anna and Nick’s Parents had spent ages making lots of little personal touches:

    • Hanging origami birds above tables - There were so many and must have taken hours! they also looked incredible!

    • Small animal candle moulds at each place setting (All hand made)

    • The Bunting

    • Childhood photo collages

    • Lit table jars and decorations

    • Name holders

    • Actually everything there!!!!

  • Nick and a friend had painted the animals representing each table. It’s personal touches like this that make all the difference.

Anna’s Dad had made various garden games which were all put to good use - lots of photos below.

Of course, if you are going to have such a great day, you also need amazing food and this was provided by the Fantastic Vaughans Kitchen, Peter wasn’t there but his lovely wife, Jurgita Vaughan was there running the show (We always have a good catch up!!!!). What makes Vaughans Kitchen so unique is not only making and providing the the tastiest meals EVER but Jurgita was always on hand to assist and help. from dress fluffing, sorting the drinks, canapés, meal, desert, clearing and just making sure everything ran smoothly, the team at Vaughans Kitchen really do take care of everything.

And then onto the actual day, its always about the people and this where this super wedding really came into play - Because the people were so nice and that’s what makes the difference, I should actually say, nice and fun!!!!!

Flat Caps are just so cool and timeless - from now on I will be recommending all grooms wear one!

So please just click on the first image and view as a slide show.

Anna and Nick, you are so suited to each other, it really is lovely to see best friends becoming husband and wife, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your day incredible day and I just hope the images do it justice.

Thank you for being you!!!
