Elvetham Hotel Wedding photography with Lara and James

Well, what a gorgeous wedding day this was! So much laughter and happiness, mixed in with super people, a brilliant couple and a very splendid wedding venue. So just a little background, Lara and James saw me at their friends wedding (Harriet and Jon at the Pear Tree in Purton) and they liked how I did my thing on the day and hey presto, wedding booked in :)

This was my first outing to the Elvetham and it really is just super, the ceremony room has light! (Makes a change from some venues) and also makes my job a lot easier!!! We started with a quick trip to see the boys getting ready and there is always such a contrast from the girls, usually a bit more chilled, like they were getting ready for a night out rather than a wedding in 2 hours, but that’s boys for you, but they took their duties well and were promptly on time which included learning how to do a bow tie whilst watching You Tube.

I then popped over to see the girls and it was also nice and chilled, music playing and the final touches to make up and hair, we then jumped in some golf buggies to get us to the hotel and then the rest of the day was a blur!! A beautiful ceremony, confetti, candids before groups and then the groups, there were quite a few groups to tackle but we managed them all and even managed a big group photo before the meal.

Speeches were in between each course which meant we didn’t get much time to do anything else but that didn’t matter so this all went by very quickly and then it was a few portraits, cake and dancing.

This was very much a non stop wedding at Elvetham Hotel but that’s how I like, please enjoy looking through this beautiful day and the final collection does have hundreds more.
