Salisbury Cathedral and Manor Estate Weddings
Salisbury Cathedral Wedding Photography & The Manor Estate, Wiltshire
Wedding photography with Rosie and Lewis at Salisbury Cathedral and The Manor Estate.
What an absolutely brilliant wedding day this was with Rosie and Lewis. This was actually my first official wedding at Salisbury Cathedral and it’s one of those places that doesn’t really need much introduction—it’s just on another level.
I’ll be honest, if I had one small request for the next refurb it would be a few more windows… but apart from that, everything about it is just incredible. The scale, the atmosphere, the way it feels during a ceremony—it all comes together in a way that’s hard to beat.
Salisbury Cathedral Ceremony
The ceremony took place at Salisbury Cathedral, right in the heart of the city, and it really does give you that proper sense of occasion. It’s a huge space, but it still manages to feel calm and intimate when everything gets going.
From a photography point of view, it’s a balance—working with the available light, staying respectful of the space, and letting moments happen naturally without interrupting anything. That’s always the aim, especially somewhere like this.
The Manor Estate Wedding Reception, Till Valley
After the ceremony, everyone made their way over to The Manor Estate in the Till Valley, just outside Salisbury. It’s a venue I know well (and only about 10 minutes from me), and it’s always good to be back there.
It’s one of those places that just works—loads of space, a relaxed setup, and a team that knows exactly what they’re doing behind the scenes.
A Day That Just Worked
Pippa from The Manor Estate was, as always, brilliant—calm, organised, and making sure everything ran exactly as it should without it ever feeling forced.
Vaughan’s Kitchen were on food, which is always a good sign. Everything is locally sourced and properly cooked, and you can tell there’s real passion behind it. Peter doesn’t seem to stop all day, and it shows in what comes out. It was also great to see Jurgita again—between them, they’ve got it completely dialled in.
When you’ve got a team like that around you, it makes a huge difference. Things just flow.
Natural Moments Throughout
Add Rosie and Lewis into the mix, along with a great group of family and friends, and it all just came together naturally.
Nothing forced, no over-structuring—just people enjoying the day as it unfolded. From the ceremony through to the reception, there was always something happening, which is exactly what I’m looking for.
Plenty of moments, loads of reactions, and more than enough to tell the full story—hence a gallery of well over a thousand images.
A Wiltshire Wedding Done Right
A huge setting like Salisbury Cathedral paired with a relaxed venue like The Manor Estate is a great combination. You get the sense of occasion, then the space to properly enjoy the rest of the day.
If you’re planning a wedding at Salisbury Cathedral or The Manor Estate and want photography that keeps things natural and unobtrusive, that’s exactly how I approach it.
Local Suppliers I Trust

Salisbury Cathedral – one of the most iconic ceremony locations in the UK, and a seriously impressive place to get married
The Manor Estate – a relaxed Wiltshire wedding venue in the Till Valley with a great team behind it
Pippa (The Manor Estate) – keeps everything running smoothly without making it feel over-managed
Vaughan’s Kitchen – incredible food, locally sourced, and run by people who genuinely care about what they’re doing
Having a team like this around you makes a real difference—it keeps everything feeling easy and lets the day unfold properly.
