Bowerchalke Barn Weddings with Jess & Jaye – Autumn Warmth and Pure Joy

Bowerchalke Barn Wedding | Rustic Wiltshire Wedding with Autumn Warmth and Real Emotion

A rustic autumn wedding at Bowerchalke Barn, Wiltshire — full of laughter, deep seasonal colours, wild florals and genuine emotion. Candid photography by David Scammell capturing love and laughter in its most natural form.

There’s something magical about Bowerchalke Barn in the heart of Wiltshire — the kind of place that feels like it’s been waiting for a love story to unfold inside it. Jess and Jaye brought that story to life beautifully, wrapping rustic charm, deep autumn tones and pure, unfiltered fun into a day that was every bit their own.

The Setting — Rustic, Real and Radiant

Bowerchalke Barn is a photographer’s dream. Exposed beams, soft light spilling through the old windows, and a backdrop of rolling Wiltshire countryside. The space feels organic — no need for over-styling or forced detail — just authentic textures and warmth everywhere you look. The barn’s natural wood and soft, earthy tones set the stage for a celebration that was both elegant and deeply grounded.

The Colour Story — Autumn’s Bold Embrace

The colour palette was a perfect reflection of the season: rich oranges, muted greens, deep reds and soft neutrals. Jess’s bouquet tied it all together with a mix of warm florals — burnt orange roses, toffee-toned dahlias and hints of deep crimson. Pomegranates and pumpkins dotted the tables and aisle, adding those playful, seasonal touches that made everything feel alive and festive.

The bridesmaids’ sage green dresses complemented the warm tones perfectly, and the groomsmen’s brown suitsechoed the barn’s rustic wood. Every shade felt intentional — like it was meant to live in that space.

The Florals — Wild, Seasonal and Joyful

The floral arrangements were stunning in their simplicity — unstructured, natural and full of texture (Debbie, the Grooms Mum did all of this, totally amazing and beautiful!!!). The tablescapes featured flowing greenery, pops of rust and gold, and clusters of seasonal fruit. The bridal bouquet was untamed and expressive, matching Jess’s relaxed style and radiant smile. Everything felt as though it had been gathered from the countryside just moments before — a nod to nature and the beauty of imperfection.

The Celebration — Full of Laughter and Love

From the first look to the last dance, this wedding was pure joy. There was laughter echoing through the barn, glasses clinking under the fairy lights, and so many real, unscripted moments — the kind that make you forget about the camera. Jess and Jaye brought incredible energy to their day. Their guests matched it beat for beat, turning the barn into one big celebration of love and friendship.

The dance floor moments were wild, the speeches heartfelt, and the atmosphere electric. It wasn’t about posing — it was about living the day fully, surrounded by the people who mean everything.

Why I Love Bowerchalke Barn

As a wedding photographer, this venue just fits everything I love — texture, light, and honest emotion. It’s a place that lets stories breathe. You can feel the history in the walls, the calm of the countryside outside, and the warmth of people gathering inside. Jess and Jaye’s wedding captured all of that perfectly — a reminder that the best days aren’t perfect, they’re real.
