Wellington Barn Wedding Photography with Elise and Tom

A BEAUTIFUL DAY OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY AT WELLINGTON BARN

With the wedding season in full flow it can sometimes be quite difficult to keep updating the blog, but over the next few days i will be doing a full update.

So the first wedding to hit the blog is the most gorgeous of weddings with Elise and Tom at Wellington Barn. Elise and Tom booked me from a wedding i had shot previously with Lizzie and Jobo (Mr and Mrs De Vogel) which was just fantastic... So they knew my style and what to expect from me on the day. Elise and Tom run their own catering company, therefore have seen lots of photographers and also hundreds of weddings, so when they chose me to tell their story it was a huge  privilege as it would not have been a decision taken lightly....

So the day was a mix of New Zealand (Elise's family) and Tom's family from the UK. I met all the girls getting ready for some bridal prep and everything was just so calm, not even a radio on in the background and not too many nerves showing through either....Once Elise put her dress on she just looked amazing and i knew my day was going to be so easy capturing lovely shots of her. The Bridesmaids and flower girls were also looking beautiful in colours chosen by Elise, so a double whammy for knowing i was going to be getting some fantastic shots...

Next came the church, which was just lovely and also quite bright inside...The boys were on form showing off their socks and all very relaxed, although i think there were a few nervous moments from Tom.....Confetti and groups followed the ceremony and then it was off to Wellington barn for the party to start!!!

A small photo session then took place very near to where Elise and Tom used to live, such a lovely lake and the swans popped down just to be nosy!!!

WELLINGTON BARN - LET THE PARTY START!!

Just a 10 min car journey took us to Wellington Barn, set in the most picturesque Wiltshire Countryside, it is just an absolute dream for a photographer...After the arrival drinks and nibbles we managed to shoot a few groups although the evil sun did come out for a while, so had to move the groups so the sun was at their backs or behind them....And of course with this fun wedding, we had to have some fun group shots too...The Barn was set out beautifully and really looked the part...I must also say the staff at Wellington Barn were just brilliant and couldn't do enough to make the day run smoothly. The food was also absolutely delicious!!!

SPEECH TIME AT WELLINGTON BARN

I love to hear the speeches as this really gives me an insight into the two families coming together and there was plenty of laughter and also some very emotional moments, you can't fake a speech from the heart and all the speeches were just that...Said from the heart....

FUN GROUP SHOTS - JUST LIKE A PHOTO BOOTH BUT SOOOO MUCH BETTER

During the breaks in-between courses i do a thing called the 5 second challenge, 3 photos with a 5 second gap and the groups just do what ever they want..This time round, Elise and Tom requested that one of the shots would be the Famous "Haka" from New Zealand....They didn't disappoint at all...

Time for some dancing!!! And a close to absolutely fantastic day

I would like to thank Elise and Tom for being just the most amazing Bride and Groom, their friends and family for such fun and of course the staff at Wellington Barn, there were also lots of other people behind the scenes that make a day like this happen!!!
