Grittleton House Weddings with Sarah and Matt

My first wedding of 2018 took place on little bit damp but not too cold January day and what a way to start the New Year.

We started off with the actual ceremony at the Gateway Church in Swindon...Oh I absolutely loved it there...No Organ and hymns that I heard before but 2 lead singers (Amazing voices), 2 Guitarists and a Drummer blasting out some really great music.  Although I didn't know these songs, everyone else did and they all sang their hearts out.  This does make a nice change as usually people are forced into church and begrudgingly sing half hearted.

After the ceremony it was a bit too cold to go outside for a big group shot so we went for the inside option.  For big groups you need height, so a ladder was quickly found and I balanced slightly procariously  near the top to get the shots we needed.

A hearty scone lunch break then took place and it was then off to Grittleton House.....Oh how I love this venue, it really does have it all.  I was greeted by the lovely smiling Emma again (one of the best wedding organisers/manager/everything else) she ensures everything runs like clock work and doesn't miss a thing!

Again, due to the weather we went for the groups inside, Grittleton House is perfect for this as there are so many other rooms we can use...We opted for the Yellow room for a few of our foams and then down to another room after the meal for some "More fun and casual" group shots where everyone had such a giggle....

The food was very good as always (It is nice to get some thing to eat) and then some great speeches with a special chocolate tradition (See photo's)....Before we knew it it was time for a little bit of just Bride and Groom time using Grittleton's gorgeous staircase and balcony (I must work out how to get up more levels!!!

Cake, dancing and a few more candids and that was me...What a fabulous start to the wedding season! I would love to return back to the Gateway Church as it is nice to capture people actually enjoying the ceremony and I will be back at Grittleton House on the 9th of Feb for another wedding and I am really looking forward to that one too.
