Salisbury Registry Office Wedding and Coombe Bissett Village Marquee Celebration with Hannah and Fraser

Salisbury Registry Office weddings

I am one lucky wedding photographer, with yet another Beautiful Salisbury wedding followed by a gorgeous backdrop with marquee in the village of Coombe Bissett village.

So, a little bit of background, Hannah and Fraser enquired about their wedding with only a few weeks to go and by luck/ fate or good fortune, the date had become available due to a date change from another wedding couple. We very quickly worked out we were all singing off the same hymn sheet in terms of what Hannah and Fraser wanted and what I can provide (We have seen your work so just happy for you to your own thing!!!)….How perfect is that! We obviously discussed lots and made some provisional plans for how the wedding photography would pan out and my involvement but with these super chilled couple it was just so nice and easy.

On the morning I met up with everyone down at Britford Farm so it was good to meet so many people before the actual ceremony and it was also great to see the Boys and Girls getting ready. Considering everyone was in the same building Hannah and Fraser did well in not seeing each other. Fraser presented his side with some lovely watches while they were getting ready. I must say here that Hannah looked absolutely stunning in her dress and Fraser was also looking very smart (I think the word Dapper would best describe his outfit). After an hour or so, it was time to negotiate the Saturday Salisbury traffic and get into town, which wasn’t actually too bad. Salisbury Registry Office is one of my favourite wedding ceremony Registry offices as on a bright sunny day the main ceremony room is bright and airy and looks really great. The ceremony was beautifully quick but we had a small interlude while trying to find Hannah’s Grandparents which gave me some lovely natural moments while Hannah and Fraser waited to sign the Register.

After the ceremony we had a bit of time for some photos with the close family and friends and then it was time to head to the ceremony location in Coombe Bissett. What a gorgeous spot they chose for the marquee and as it was so close to the village hall they could use all of the amenities there. I love weddings in fields and marquees as couples can do what they want and when they want which is just perfect. As I left after Fraser and Hannah I literally parked up, grabbed my kit, gave a bit of direction on making the welcome lines for confetti and they had arrived in the very cool car. We then had confetti, hugs, Prosecco, nibbles, more hugs, we found the missing Grandparents. had a few tears, more smiles, hugs just a great hour or so before sitting down for some delicious Hog Roast (One of the best Hog roasts I have had). And the amount of cakes for pudding was just immense!!! What a great idea for dessert!!!!!!

As the sun was out in full force and absolutely no shade, we decided to wait to do the groups when the sun was not so harsh and a bit lower. Doing the groups slightly later was also great as everyone was relaxed and there was no rushing around. The boys took over the climbing frame for one of their photos and I only had to encourage them a little to get creative!!!!

We then jumped into the evening celebrations after some low light portraits and watching the best game of something with lots of people in a circle and looking through pretend goggles. I must mention the coffee team too! Another brilliant idea and the coffee provided was just great!

Dancing, bagpipes, a very cool band and so many happy people made the evening just flow. I think I left around 10pm before it got a bit too crazy as I think this party was going to go on for a while!

Hannah and Fraser, thank you so much for being so super and just letting me do my thing, your friends and family were just super and I am sure everyone had a fantastic time celebrating your beautiful smile filled day! Please enjoy this very small selection of images from a final collection of around 1000. Just click on the first image and that will take you into the slide view option.
